OMK is the official motor boat club of Oskarshamn and organise activities and events for boat owners and the city summer visitors. Among other things, the Club arrange Oskarshamn Offshore Race. An annual event that attracts 10 000 's visitors closer to the water.

The first race was 2006, when the city of Oskarshamn celebrated its 150th anniversary. The race is based on the port of Oskarshamn and ends inside the harbor after 10 laps at open sea. Oskarshamn Motor Boat Club is proud to invite all Offshore Class 3C to the Offshore World Championship between 5th to 10th of July, 2011.
